What’s The MasterCraft Difference?

There are roofs, and then…there are MasterCraft roofs.

Your home is unique. Your needs are unique. Therefore, each proposal we create is unique. ..to you. Pro recommendations and detailed job plans, every time.

We use only premium materials. If we don’t like what we see on the market, we make it in-house. No leaks, no early damage, and no shoddy products.

Only expert craftsmen are allowed to work with us and for us. If we can’t do the job professionally, we won’t do it at all.

Read more about our process and our values below—then schedule your free appointment today.

Step #1: Detailed Explanations.

A new roof for your home is a very high-value asset. Similar to buying a new home or vehicle, you need the best research and expert, professional opinions, before you spent one cent.

You need counsel and an estimate from a pro, not some sales representative with no knowledge of the industry. We send only pros to meet with you at your home.

With MasterCraft, from estimate to cleanup, you’ll have a professional opinion to guide you at every step of the way.

Step #2: Premium Materials.

  • A complete residential roofing system not only includes shingles but also includes a few other components; vents, flashings, backing paper, and wood. We strive to offer the best solution in each of these areas, not just shingles.

  • Shingles are the plates (usually asphalt) on the top of your home which provide the outermost protection.

  • Backing/roofing paper is a watertight barrier which goes underneath the shingles.

  • The base of the roof is usually wood, be it plywood or OSB—which can sometimes need replaced. We offer all types of quality sheet wood to our clients.

  • Metal flashings form the edges of your roofing system and help to seal out future rot and damage. We make and form most of our flashings in-house, custom sized and fit to your particular roof.

  • Vents are the various outlets in your roof connected to kitchens, bathrooms, and furnaces, to allow heat and moisture to escape. Most vents on the commercial market are very cheap and easily leak. We make our own hand-welded, steel vents in our machine shop. (Pictured here)

In your free estimate appointment, we’ll discuss each of these 5 features to ensure top-quality for each stage of the construction process.

Step #3: Expert Craftsmanship.

We’ll just come right out and say it — you can order the best shingles in the world, but if they’re installed incorrectly, you’ll have a terrible roofing system.

According to the Consumer Federation of America, the #2 consumer complaint in America is directed at the construction/home improvement industry. They cited: “Shoddy work, failure to start or complete the job.” This top complaint among consumers is topped only by distrust of used car salesmen, lemons, and the auto industry in general.

This is why, at MasterCraft Roofing, we’re proud to hire only the highest-skilled and detail-oriented craftsman. The #1 area of satisfaction with our customers is indeed the quality of craftsmanship—a rarity in an industry where consumer trust is so low.

Not only do we use the highest-quality materials, we only hire guys who can install them (and clean up after themselves) professionally.

Unconvinced? Just listen to what Kevin had to say about his roof we finished a few months ago:

“MasterCraft Roofing does high quality work! We had a full roof replacement and they were professional throughout. They went the extra distance on several parts of the job. I highly recommend them. Jaime, the owner, is very trustworthy which is one of the factors that made it hard to decide on a roofer. All the roofers promise a lot, but Jaime has followed through!”

Kiss your worries about shoddy workmanship or unreliable installation goodbye. We only accept the very best.

Step #4: Enjoyable Experiences.

The MasterCraft process was designed with you, the homeowner, in mind. If you aren’t satisfied, call us up or meet with us in person. We’re monitoring before, during, and after your job, making sure everything is up to spec.

Do you tend to be curious and thorough? No problem. You have a right to be. It’s your home getting serviced. Our roofing crew is ready and willing to answer any questions you might have, before, during, or after, they start working.

Our office has email, phone lines and text open Monday-Friday, speedy and willing to answer any questions you have about appointments, billing, or other concerns. We also offer Saturday appointments.

Included with every job, we even have an after-work inspection where Jaime, our owner, will visit you personally to review the workmanship and review your proposal to make sure the job was done properly.

That leaves you, the homeowner, to enjoy your upgraded home, knowing the quality is sound, and knowing you’re just a call away from resolving any potential issues in the future. Your roof deserves the very best.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)…

How much will my roof cost?

It depends greatly based on the size of your home and which materials you want. Quality varies greatly at every step of the process—be it wood, backing paper, shingles, vents, or flashings. Because our clients often prefer higher-quality shingles, paper, and wood, our bids tend to be very different from the other contractors out there, and thus can only be compared in an apples-to-oranges manner. Regardless of these differences, we often rank somewhere in the middle when customers have chosen to get multiple bids from other contractors. Most customers choose to work with us because of the demonstrated quality of the materials we use and the craftsmen we hire to install them properly.

In the end, regardless of who’s quoting you the price in the contractor business, the end result that matters is not price, but what went into that price. Customers often choose to deliberately pick a higher or lower bid not because of the price, but because of why, as packages of service can vary greatly between companies. Price is just one factor in a sea of many that matters when it comes to selecting your next roof.

Do you guys offer financing?

Absolutely! Some of our customers really want to go with a premium system but find that just too far outside their budget. We proudly partner with Hearth, a financing service designed specifically for home improvement projects, to get you the financing options you need. You can certainly pay us in a lump sum, or with financing, or a combination of both. Additionally, if Hearth isn’t quite the right thing for you, some customers go through their bank to get a loan and then simply pay us upfront. We’re flexible and can talk you through the different options when you get your proposal/bid. Please see our “Services” page for more details about Hearth, and call (877)-350-1776 if you have any more questions.

I’m representing a larger firm looking to hire roofing subcontractors. Do you guys subcontract?

Yes! We geared most of the material on this site towards our residential audience, but we have also done major contracting projects for buildings with the Seattle Public Utilities, Lake Washington Technical College, University of Washington, Bainbridge Ferry Terminal, and more. Please contact us via email or phone with the projects you have in mind and we’ll see if it’s a good fit.

Which brand of shingles do you install?

MasterCraft roofing is a certified installer of most major roofing brands, including Malarkey, Highland, GAF, and more.

Keep in mind that shingles, although the most visible, are only 1/6 of your roofing equation. A proper roof install also takes into consideration wood, paper, flashings, vents, and workmanship, each of which we’ll review with you in detail when you set up an appointment.

Why do I need custom vents?

We explain all our materials and processes in our appointment when you meet, but the single biggest reason customers choose our custom-made vents is because we manufacture them in-house to be used with an adhesive rather than simply be nailed to your roof. This prevents leaks from forming around the vents. Because our vents are custom-soldered, it’s very difficult for water to penetrate. We create a secure transition between shingles and vents, unlike our competitors.

I need to replace my roof before I sell my house. Should I go with you guys?

Short answer - it depends on what goals you have in mind. Longer answer - we specialize in providing the highest quality materials and craftsmanship to homeowners who want a really solid product on their home — it’s not our goal to necessarily do the cheapest or fastest job as poor materials and workmanship often lead to leaks and premature roof damage. It can be a great asset to include a brand-new high-quality roof in your home listing, but the new homeowner may not appreciate or have time to understand the high-quality system you installed. Because of this, we tend to work with long-term homeowners who want a really solid product with custom selection. Check with your realtor to be sure, as we have worked with plenty of realtors in the past on behalf of their clients.

Do you re-roof barns or sheds?

Yes! We specialize in metal roofing as well as asphalt roofing, depending on what’s best for the customer. We’ve done barns, sheds, and other residential buildings besides just the home for our customers. Regardless of what building on your property you’re looking to upgrade, give us a call.

What if I still have questions that weren’t answered here?

We’ve done our best to give a brief introduction of the important things on our site, but there’s always more to know! Get answers to your specific questions by calling (877)-350-1776, or clicking the “Schedule Free Appointment” button on this page.
