Office and Project Manager
Job Description
Status: Non-exempt, Full-time
MasterCraft Roofing is looking for an experienced Office & Project Manager to run the day-to-day operations of the company. This unique position offers the opportunity to work closely with all of the staff members throughout the entire company, ensure success of every job that MasterCraft performs, and work with MasterCraft’s suppliers. This person will be responsible for creating and managing the schedule of all MasterCraft’s roofing jobs, both residential and commercial, and for coordinating with the shop mechanic, roofers, other office staff, suppliers, customers, and the owner to ensure that each job is a success!
Responsibilities
Create and manage the schedule for all roofing jobs, residential and commercial
Coordinate with foremen to ensure that roofers have correct addresses, safety plans and equipment, and specific dates and times for each job
Order supplies for each job
Maintain professional and good-standing accounts with all MasterCraft suppliers. Coordinate with Office Secretary to ensure bill are paid and accounts are current
Identify best prices among MasterCraft suppliers and potential new suppliers for each project
Coordinate with shop mechanic to ensure correct materials for each job are fabricated
Coordinate with driver to ensure that the materials from both MasterCraft’s shop and suppliers are delivered to each jobsite in a timely manner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of MasterCraft’s resources for shop and warehouse materials
Coordinate regularly with MasterCraft’s provider of HR services and ensure compliance with HR regulations at MasterCraft
Work with other staff members to ensure timesheets, HR policies, and other necessary documents are filed and organized
Interview candidates for hire who may work for MasterCraft
Coordinate regularly with MasterCraft’s providers of accounting services and ensure compliance with accounting regulations at MasterCraft
Coordinate regularly with MasterCraft’s provider of accounting services to ensure all tax and bookkeeping needs are met
Review profit-loss and other financial reports with ownership and make strategic plans for 10X company growth within the next 2 years
Ensure safe and accurate records are maintained throughout the office
Order supplies the office as needed (workforce uniforms, signs, marketing materials, printer materials, etc.
Ensure safety certifications for crew members are accurate and up to date. Schedule and order safety certification trainings as needed
Qualifications
Able to work effectively for long periods of time with minimal to no supervision
Able to quickly organize complex projects into straightforward and simple tasks
Able to delegate responsibilities effectively
A mind for strategic growth and management of the firm
Basic understanding of the construction and roofing industries
Innovative in solving problems without a clear path to do so. Ability to create that path.
Professional and empathetic in maintaining a wide variety of professional relationships with suppliers, coworkers, clients, and others
Associate degree or equivalent (Business discipline preferred)
QuickBooks or Bookkeeping certifications preferred
Previous office experience not required but a large advantage
